Watercolors
A new medium, a new speed, a new adventure, just for fun. (I'm not stopping my regular detailed oil paintings)
On my daily walks I've gotten into the habit of taking a small watercolor kit with me, and when I feel moved, I stop and pull out one of my random pieces of cold pressed watercolor paper. I sit down with my cap full of water from my water bottle and start. I don't overthink it, I just put brush to paper and start.
I've been craving a way to simply experiment and make some marks that are quicker than my detailed oil paintings. Watercolor is turning out to be the perfect medium for that.
Here are a few of my first pieces.
March 1st, today, I will be launching one new painting each night at 7 pm on social media. Wanna join in the fun? Each piece is $25.00 and the first person so say 'mine', 'I'll take it', or something similar gets it.
You'll have 12 hours to make your purchase if you are the successful winner of the painting. After the 12 hours, the piece will be offered to the next person to call out.... "I'll take it."
