Direct from the Studio - The Magazine.

How do we get our art in front of more people?  This is a common questions for many artists.  I had an idea.  What if we collaborated and shared our work, together, with all the audiences we have access to?  We could reach a much bigger audience of potential collectors. 

I've been publishing a digital magazine for over a year now, on my own.  It's time to open up this opportunity to others. Together we can share to our communities, grow our exposure and increase our sales.  

What are the stats for the magazine, so far? 

Here are the stats from the issues that I've published so far. These issues have gone out through my own email list and social media accounts.  Pretty impressive.  I'm pleased with the direction of the magazine and look forward to sharing this opportunity with you.

​The magazine will have the animated flip feature, and a table of contents for all artists featured within each issue. 

It will be published every quarter with the next available issue being in Oct 3, 2022. Each issue will be available for viewing for 2 weeks. This will build in some urgency as the magazine will go away after the two week period. 

Each artist will have a three page spread. One page for "Meet the artists", and two pages for your art. 

Each piece that you have for sale will have a direct link from the magazine to your sales page.  All sales remain yours.  There is no commission to be paid to me.

Limit of (3) artists per issue.

Who is this for?

  • Artists who have a body of work ready to sell.
  • Artists who have a sales platform to handle those sales.
  • Artists who have an email list and social following to share the magazine with. 
  • Artists who are interested in showing their work to a new pool of potential buyers. 

Sales of your work.

All profits from the sale of your paintings remain yours.  

Email list.

You are not required to share the contacts on your email list with me or any other contributor as each artist will mail directly to their own list.  

A set of pre-written email templates will be provided for you to customize to your audience and share the release of this exciting magazine.  "As feature in.... Direct From the Studio Oct 2022."  Cool feature to add to your paintings description.

What is the cost to be a featured in the magazine?

There is a charge of $97.00 for the layout, editing and link attachments to your three pages. 
A link will be provided, once the magazine is formatted that will allow you to share to Facebook, Instagram and your email list. The digital copy of the magazine will be hosted on my website. 

Submission Deadline:

All materials will need to be received digitally by Sept 15, 2022 at 12:00 PST.

Publication Date:

Oct 3, 2022.  I will share the links to the magazine and procedure for posting to social media ahead of publishing so that you can share the information on your social pages on the same day. 
Future publication dates: Jan., April, July, Oct. 2023  Limit (3) artists per issue.

What is required?

  • Fill in the application form below.
  • Once I've reviewed your application, there are a few things I will need from you:
  1. ​300 DPI images for each of your pieces that you would like to include.
  2. PDF documents with your "Meet the artist" article.
  3. The links for each image to your sales page on your website.  These will be overlaid and attached to your images in the magazine.  They will be direct links to more information about a particular painting with the opportunity to buy the painting right from that page.
