010 Silver Pink
While in Penticton visiting family, this flower had me pull the car over to capture an image. The metallic pink colour was amazing and I knew it would make a wonderful painting.
The soft pink colours glow with a radiance, unlike anything I've seen before. The flower is placed to the left of the centre with the background blurred out to draw your attention directly to this unique bloom.
The frame is a natural Hemlock, solid wood frame, that leaves a 1/8" space between the painting and the frame. The oiled natural wood compliments the browns in the painting.
Once the oil paint cured I applied a varnish layer which protects the painted surface and makes it easy to clean with a soft damp cloth.
