Welcome. Whether you are new to an art career or an established artist, it is my hope that these resources I use within my business will assist you in creating the business that you dream of.
Winging it works for awhile and very quickly you are going to find that you are bit overwhelmed with all the moving pieces.
Let me give you a scenario. You are busy working on a piece that you want to submit to a show, the due date is two weeks away, you hope you can finish on time. You get a ping on your email that someone is interested in a commission and they need it for a birthday gift - hard deadline. Can you take this commission? You sure need the money, so you say yes and hope for the best.
But wait, the canvas you need for the commission, you don't have yet. Darn the store is a two hour drive, round trip. It's 2 pm now, they close at 5, you could make it if you hurry. Traffic is snarled so you end up missing the art supply store so you'll have to make an additional trip tomorrow. Then the canvas needs to get gessoed before you begin, so that will have to happen tomorrow morning. But what about that piece you need to get done for the show. Urrrgggghhh. And very soon the wheels fall off, you feel overwhelmed and wonder "Is this really what I want to be doing with my life?"
First of all, you and your art are important. Make no mistake that the work you produce impacts people in a positive way. More importantly you need to feel un-frazzled in order to do you best work.
Secondly, this workshop will help you. How?
Getting your Inventory and supplies in order is essential.
What sorts of things will we cover?
Included in your inventory tally you will have the change to document:
In addition, I will dip into evaluating if you are making money. Don't be scared if you are losing money at your art career. I did too at the beginning. Once I realized where I was making my sales and what my expenses were then I could make new decisions and empower my success.
What will you need
This course is for you if you are ready to reach the goals you intend to reach. Being disappointed with you art career is not okay. You are brilliant at what you do and with a bit of help you can be organized and on top of the things that you most need to be successful.

Getting your Inventory and supplies in order is essential.
What sorts of things will we cover?
- blank canvas/surface inventory readily available, plus length to width ratios so you know which image will fit on which canvas,
- paint supply inventory, down to each tube of colour that you have,
- a running tally of the piece you have finished, in process, and ideas yet to be worked on,
- individual sheets for each piece so you can make all your notations and decision that pertain to that painting,
- timing estimates so you know how long your work takes you to produce. This helps tremendously in planning for those deadlines.
- Printable calendar so you can start to lay things out.
Included in your inventory tally you will have the change to document:
- the size,
- the title,
- the medium,
- is it done,
- what is the additional frame cost for this piece,
- if the piece is out of studio, where is it,
- is this piece sold,
- a numbering system to keep track of every piece.
In addition, I will dip into evaluating if you are making money. Don't be scared if you are losing money at your art career. I did too at the beginning. Once I realized where I was making my sales and what my expenses were then I could make new decisions and empower my success.
What will you need
- Pencil and eraser,
- Printer to print out the worksheets,
- Computer with a Spreadsheet program,
- Plastic page protectors,
